Nominations for the Celebrating Care and Achievement event are now open!
Nominations are open for this year’s Celebrating Care and Achievement, an event that celebrates all children looked after and care-experienced young people across the county, as well as the adults that support them.
The event will include an awards ceremony, as well as music, food and lots of other fun activities all focused on celebrating the achievements, strengths and positive impacts of Somerset’s care experienced children and young people.
Celebrating Care and Achievement is the new name for our Annual Achievement Awards, a name change that reflects that this year for the first time, the event will be open to ALL children looked after and care leavers across the county to attend. Making the event more inclusive and allowing us to celebrate every care experienced young person in Somerset!
The Celebrating Care and Achievement event will be taking place on Thursday 30 July 2026.
Nominations are open to all, and we particularly encourage:
- Key adults and key workers to nominate the children and young people they support, recognising their achievements, progress and resilience
- Children and young people to nominate key adults or key workers who have made a meaningful difference in their lives
