In December members of SiCC and SLCC Chloe, Amber Jane and Kieran spoke at the Children and Families Scrutiny meeting. At the meeting the trio talked about the recently launched Somerset Children and Young People Plan (CYPP).
The CYPP is a document shaped by 6,000 young people in Somerset and co-produced by members of Our Somerset and its partners. It sets out the priorities of young people of what they need to feel safe, supported, happy, healthy and ready for adulthood.
Chloe, Amber Jane and Kieran received some wonderful praise for their contributions to the meeting and received a letter of thanks from Somerset Council Chief Executive Duncan Sharkey and Councillor Leigh Redman.
